The Lady Filmmakers Film Festival through, September 26th, With Panels And Networking Opportunities During The Week Long Festival-
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lady Filmmakers Film Festival, now in its 14th year, is excited to announce its 2022 festival takes place this week in person. The in-person film festival will kick-off tonight in Beverly Hills, CA at 208 Rodeo followed by five days of live screenings, panels and networking opportunities ending with Awards Celebration at Via Alloro. UNEXPECTED and GRINGA, THE MIRROR GAME, and LEVELING LINCOLN are films that will hold their LOS ANGELES theatrical premieres during the festival. BRIDGE TO THE OTHER SIDE and DIVISION have their theatrical WORLD PREMIERES with Lady Filmmakers. Tickets to screenings and events are available to the public to purchase, with live events limiting capacity to help maintain social distancing.
Gringa is a heartwarming story of healing and second chances. There is a lot of work to do. Dad drinks too much and his daughter's self-esteem is in the toilet—along with most of what she eats thanks to her battle with bulimia. The film stars Judy Greer, Roselyn Sánchez, Steve Zahn, Gala Montes, and Jess Gabor.
UNEXPECTED is a comedy about Music critic Bob is out of a job, addicted to Zoloft, and trying to wrangle the menagerie of animals that his wife Amy has accumulated. Will adopting a baby cure their existential angst? Or should they just rescue another duck? Produced by Patricia Heaton and stars Joe Mazzello and Anna Camp.
Additionally, this year's festival line up will include the West Coast premiere of the Documentary feature film LEVELING LINCOLN from director ARDEN LEWIS as well as WORLD PREMIERE of feature films BRIDGE TO THE OTHER SIDE by director, KT CURRAN and DIVISION directed by JASON WINN, Grandes Horizanteles directed by Leslie Zemeckis and produced by Robert Zemeckis. To qualify for the festival or to be on the streaming service, at least one woman must fill the role of Writer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Production Designer, or Editor. Lady Filmmakers Festival accepts features and shorts of all genres and lengths, including narratives, animation, documentaries, dance, experimental, LGBTQ+, webisodes, international, commercials and more. The festival's screenwriting contest has been picking up steam too for short and feature film scripts.
