Julie King, Litchfield County Brokerage Manager for William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty

William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Julie King will serve as Brokerage Manager for the firm’s brokerages in Litchfield County, Connecticut, overseeing the Washington Depot, Litchfield and Kent offices. She will also co-manage the Salisbury, Conn., brokerage with Tim Donnelly, who manages the company’s two brokerages in Berkshire County, Mass.

King joined the firm as an agent in 2018 and was named Assistant Brokerage Manager in 2020. She initially entered the real estate industry after her own quest for her family’s second home in Litchfield County led her to evaluate the unique needs of second home buyers and how best to serve them. After leaving her career on Madison Avenue and moving full time to Litchfield County, King became a Realtor in 2015 specializing in second homes. She received top seller awards in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

"Julie's experience in both marketing and real estate reflect a level of achievement and success that makes her a perfect fit with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty,” said Paul Breunich, President and CEO of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “I look forward to her contributions to our leadership team and to supporting her in our firm’s continued dominance in real estate in Litchfield County."

Prior to working in real estate, King was Senior Vice President and Director of Client Leadership for the New York-based marketing and advertising firm Ogilvy & Mather. Over nearly a decade, King worked closely with Fortune 100 clients such as American Express, Coca-Cola, Sara Lee and Unilever among others. King also spent 13 years working in a similar role with BEN Marketing Group, working on acquisition and retention campaigns for clients in the pharmaceutical, entertainment and travel industries.

“I’m thrilled to take my passion for promoting a life-well-lived in Litchfield County and share it with all our exceptional agents,” said King. “The local market has evolved in surprising and exciting ways recently, but the commitment to our clients remains the same. I’m pleased to support our agents in providing the exemplary level of service that William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty is known for.”

A native of Long Island, N.Y., King resides in Litchfield County, Conn., with her husband and two sons. She is a founding member of Minds in Motion™ Shepaug, a non-profit student enrichment event that enables students to explore their interests in the arts, sciences and technology, member of the board of The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens, President of the Shepaug Valley School PTO, and a volunteer contributor to Washington’s Economic Development Commission. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Imaging Arts & Sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology.
