HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Sept. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, JURA launched a crowdfunding campaign for their inaugural product, Anchor, an attachment solution for Apple AirPods. The Anchor is being offered on Kickstarter with a special early bird price of $19. Users can select one of two carabiner options, an Anodized Zinc Alloy or Aerospace Titanium which are expected to retail for $25 and $35 respectively. The JURA Anchor will ship to backers within 30 days of the Kickstarter campaign's conclusion.
The Anchor is a small, patent-pending titanium device that attaches to the Apple AirPods case on one end, and to belt-loops, keychains, bags, backpacks, etc. via a hook on the opposite end. It complements the beautiful minimalistic design of the charging case without interfering charging or impeding the case's ability to open.
JURA is a new company launched by the creator of the olloclip iPhone lens system, Patrick O'Neill, and seasoned marketer James Wharton, who has worked with brands including Land Rover, Mazda, and Porsche. Launched in 2011 on Kickstarter, olloclip went on to be sold in every Apple Store worldwide, and to millions of customers resulting in billions of photos.
"Following olloclip's success, I'm excited to launch JURA with this first offering. As a big Apple fan, I know the struggle of digging through a bag or pockets for my AirPods when a call comes in or I want to listen to music," said O'Neill. "Unlike other options - like a whole case with clip for the charging case - the Anchor doesn't complicate AirPod usability, create unneeded bulk, or cover the hinged cover or lightning port of the case as it provides one-handed accessibility to AirPods."
The Anchor is designed to provide a simple snap tension fit to securely attach to the charging case, without being difficult to remove. In fact, the force needed to remove the AirPod case from the Anchor is about 25 times the weight of the Airpods and Charging Case - so users can rest assured their AirPods are safe and sound. Anchor has undergone hundreds of iterations to arrive at its ideal fit, finish, and usability of its current form and is proudly designed and manufactured in Southern California.
"This is our first product to enable easier use of beloved Apple products for people worldwide. We hope the Kickstarter community will enthusiastically join us in this journey as we bring the Anchor, and many more products, to the world," said Wharton.
