“There has never been a better time to celebrate the strong women who are moving the industry forward,” says Robbie Caploe, Publisher of Cynopsis.
NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 09, 2019
Cynopsis has announced the honorees of the 2019 Top Women in Media Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding contributions by women in every facet of the media industry – bold decision makers, agents of change, and champions of excellence.
“There has never been a better time to celebrate the strong women who are moving the industry forward,” says Robbie Caploe, Publisher of Cynopsis. “At Cynopsis, we are in a perfect position to shine the spotlight across our industry, honoring the top-performing women and companies in TV, digital, sports, esports, marketing, advertising, and production. It’s important to recognize accomplishments at every level – from CEOs and EVPs to Directors and Rising Stars – and, as we know from our loyal readers, Cynopsis is there at every step along that career path.”
Categories include Corporate Visionaries, Industry Leaders, Directors Who Do It All, Game Changers, Community Builders, Social Media Movers and Shakers, Content Marketing Mavens, Branded Content Connoisseurs, Marketing Masters, Data and Analytic Aces and Rising Stars.
This year, Cynopsis introduced the “Distinguished Companies” category to recognize companies that support and encourage women in media, through policies and programs crafted to create a culture of inclusion, diversity, equal opportunity and to amplify women’s voices at every level of the media landscape. This year’s Distinguished Companies, selected by jury, will be Hulu and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). “It’s wonderful to see companies stepping up to show how they champion women in the workplace,” says Caploe. “That’s a very good sign of change.”
The Cynopsis Top Women in Media nominations were judged by industry executives across the media landscape. “This year, we had a particularly high caliber of nominations, which is a testament to the quality of work being done by women across the industry,” explains Caploe. “These women and companies are deeply inspiring.”
