Both from small towns with ranching backgrounds, this incredible husband and wife duo now lives and works on the Four Sixes™ Ranch. Zach is a veterinarian for the iconic ranch and Abby is a clinic
technician alongside Zach.
"Our work is really seasonal. We have a very large breeding operation, so during the spring we're
focused on breeding our mares. We try to get an early start because we typically have a lot to go
through. That's everyday, every morning, Sunday to Sunday," said Zach Arnold, describing a spring day as a veterinarian at the Four Sixes™ Ranch. "We check mares everyday, which takes up about half of our day. After that, there's several hundred horses right next to the clinic, so there's wounds, cuts, lacerations, lameness. That pretty much is our spring, which goes from February 1 through the end of June or so. There's probably a million other things, but that's pretty much it in a nutshell."
The Four Sixes™ Ranch was selected by the hit TV series, Yellowstone, as a new filming location last year. Several scenes have been filmed at the ranch and the cowboys being filmed are as authentic as they come. The Arnolds have gotten a behind-the-scenes look at the show being filmed. The cowboys being filmed are as authentic as they come.
"The Four Sixes™ is a working ranch in a traditional sense. Everything you're seeing on the show is what these guys do every day. You're not making anything up, it's the real deal," said Zach Arnold.
"The guys that are on the show are most of the cowboys. There are two or three hired actors that have speaking parts, but for the most part when you see them working, it is all the guys that live and work on the ranch," said Abby Arnold.
