DEERFIELD, Ill., April 27, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Justrite Safety Group, a global leader in industrial safety products, announces the launch of a line of safety pumps for dispensing or transferring flammable liquids from drums, pails, and safety cans.
As the demand for hand sanitizer has soared since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies are opting to purchase bulk containers of these solutions and dispense them into smaller containers as needed.
Most hand sanitizers, though, are considered a Class IB or Class IC flammable substance. This means that these substances—that are now widely used all over the country—have the potential to ignite if not properly handled.
"Our priority is to supply companies with the equipment they need to handle these materials safely," said Mark McElhinny, President and CEO of Justrite Safety Group. "Our safety pumps offer an easy-to-use solution for transferring and dispensing flammable liquids such as alcohol-based hand sanitizers."
These Justrite exclusive safety pumps will deliver a smooth and controlled flow when dispensing liquids from large containers to smaller containers. The pre-assembled bonding and grounding clamps included with the pumps eliminate the risk of static electricity when dispensing flammable liquids.
Safety pumps are available in stainless steel or electro zinc-plated options and can be used to dispense liquid from 30- and 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon pails, and 5-gallon safety cans. For vertical drums, safety pumps are equipped with a pick-up tube that allow users to empty the contents of large containers safely.
"Ultimately, these safety pumps will enable companies to comply with regulations and keep personnel safe," said McElhinny.
