MT LAUREL, N.J., Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), the voice of the industry on quality and safety for baby and children's products, is unveiling a new brand identity today.
"The baby industry has experienced dramatic changes in the past few years, and as the marketplace evolves, we are evolving with it. Our new look aims to be clean, streamlined and approachable, reflecting the spirit of our membership and what appeals to today's consumer - new and expectant parents. At the same time, we'll maintain our strong commitment to safety and the important regulatory work we do," said JPMA Executive Director Kelly Mariotti.
Beyond introducing a whole new look for the brand, JPMA's new tagline, "Built for Baby" represents JPMA's refreshed mission to work across the industry to bring safe, functional products to market for babies and children.
With JPMA members representing 95 percent of the prenatal to preschool products sold in North America, the association advocates for safety through its product certification program and legislative and regulatory involvement, supports a broad and diverse membership through member-only programming and industry promotion, and acts as a comprehensive source for baby product information and education.
JPMA will unveil its updated look in the coming weeks to support the organization's goals of representing and advancing the interests of manufacturers, parents, children and the industry at large. To that end, JPMA is taking an expanded role in its commitment to advocating for the industry, including taking a leadership role in the newly formed coalition, Americans for Free Trade. JPMA serves on the organization's Executive Committee to help guide strategy and ensure the message against proposed China Tariffs is heard. Through this work, the industry recently saw exemptions granted for many baby products that would have faced additional tariffs and made these essential products less accessible to families.
JPMA's marquee program, JPMA Certification, will also move to a cleaner, more modern look. Through this program, JPMA has helped parents feel confident about choosing safe products for their baby for more than 40 years by testing products to the most stringent standards in the marketplace. Consumers will begin to see the new JPMA Certification Seal on products and packaging on a rolling basis over the next 18 months.
JPMA also spearheads the industry's only combined conference, trade show and consumer show, The JPMA Show: Built for Baby, which boasts more than 4,600 attendees, 90%+ of the industry's buying power and thousands of new and expecting parents. Registration is now open for trade attendees. To exhibit, attend or sponsor The JPMA Show, April 10-13, 2019 in Orlando, FL, visit http://www.jpmashow.org.

ABOUT JPMA CERTIFICATION
Baby products must meet minimum government requirements based on safety and use. The JPMA Certification Seal signifies a product meets these and additional requirements in today's marketplace. To become certified, each product is sample-tested at an independent laboratory to verify it meets the highest standards for quality, safety, performance and functionality.
JPMA Certification is voluntary and based on adherence to ASTM standards, federal and state laws and some retail requirements. The program is designed to provide peace of mind to parents that these products have been independently tested to the most stringent standards.
