TOKYO, May 31, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Shortly following the launch of Kodansha Ltd.'s digital manga distribution app, K MANGA, on May 10, the company has proceeded to launch the browser version of the service. To celebrate the launch, Kodansha will be hosting a launch party on Thursday, June 22 at 9PM ET, which will be streamed live from Japan on Kodansha's Youtube channel. The theme of the event is: "The Stories Behind the Stories," and it will offer a behind-the-scenes look into manga publishing. Kodansha has released a special video about the party on their official party channel. The event can be joined by viewers outside the U.S.

The Manga Artist Behind the Stories
Hiro Mashima, manga artist of "FAIRY TAIL," and Reiji Miyajima of "Rent-A-Girlfriend" will be special guests in a live talk session where they will take a closer look at the behind-the-scenes production of their works. Mashima will perform live drawing, which is a must-see for fans of his work. In addition, the event will feature a special, pre-recorded interview with Hajime Isayama, manga artist of "Attack on Titan."

The Editor Behind the Stories
A video featuring Koji Terayama in his role as an editor who provides support for the manga production process will be shown. There will be an inside view of the role of editors in the production process of "DRIFTING DRAGONS." A recorded scene with the manga artist, Taku Kuwabara, will also be showcased.

Giveaway for Viewers:
16 viewers will have the chance to win a signed original illustration from the manga artists. Viewers can enter the giveaway using keywords that will be announced throughout the event. Details on how to apply will be updated on the website.

The event will be hosted in English by MC Gino (From MyAnimeList JP team), and YouTubers Gigguk and Reina Scully will serve as guest MCs. English interpretation will be provided for scenes in Japanese.
