K1 Speed Opening First China Location in Shenzhen

K1 Speed, the world's premier indoor go-karting center and entertainment destination, is excited to announce today its first location in China: K1 Speed, Shenzhen!
Since its introduction a couple of years ago, K1 Speed's international franchise program has taken off like one of its all-electric go-karts - fast! It all began in Mexico with the opening of their Mexico City location and K1 Speed now finds itself in Canada (Toronto) and South Korea (Vivaldi Park), with many more countries in line to join soon such as Puerto Rico and the United Arab Emirates.
K1 Speed, Shenzhen will be located in the PW Sport Town found in Nanshan District, and close to the popular tourist attraction, Sea World (not to be confused with the United States Sea World chain).
K1 Speed, Shenzhen will be a state-of-the-art venue that features two 32,000 sq. ft. floors, all encompassed in a glass structure that allows for views of the track from either the first or second floor. The first floor will feature its road-course inspired indoor karting track where the latest Storm and Junior all-electric go-karts will be shooting to speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. Protex safety barriers will line the circuit, utilizing the latest safety technology to absorb impacts effectively - a massive improvement over the generic movable plastic or tire barriers found in most karting centers.
The second floor will consist of four meeting rooms that are ideal for hosting events, such as birthday parties, special occasions, corporate functions, and company events. The second floor will also feature a stage, where DJs will be spinning the latest electronic music during the rave events planned for this location. An on-site bar will take party goers to new heights in the unique environment that is K1 Speed.
When not racing, visitors will be able to enjoy an arcade with video games and a foosball table that will keep the action going off-track. Museum-quality racing memorabilia will line the walls and will contribute to the premium K1 Speed experience that will keep Chinese visitors coming back for more.
K1 Speed, Shenzhen is opening Friday, May 25 and will only be the beginning of K1 Speed's growing presence in the Land of the Red Dragon.
