Kaminski Auctions October Estate Auction Features Stunning Jewelry by Viviane Debbas, Saturday, October 1, 2016
Beverly, Massachusetts (PRWEB) September 22, 2016 -- Kaminski Auctions will host two estate auctions in the month of October starting with the first on Saturday, October 1, followed by one on October 15, 2016. Please note the change to Saturday auctions this fall.
The October 1st auction features an array of stunning jewelry starting with a 14 carat yellow gold, diamond and ruby necklace with forty-nine natural step cut oval and pavilion cut rubies, approximately 69.0 carat weight and fifty round brilliant diamonds. This magnificent necklace from a Massachusetts estate includes an AIGL appraisal report and is estimated at $10,000-$15,000.
A highlight of the jewelry offerings is a Viviane Debbas signed 18K gold, ruby and diamond three-piece jewelry suite valued at $10,000-$15,000. Viviane Debbas is a Lebanese designer of jewelry who opened her first shop in 1992 in Beirut, Lebanon and later in Paris. From a New York collection there is a ladies' fourteen carat gold and diamond necklace 16 inches long totaling 10 carats valued at $10,000-$12,000.
A ladies 18 carat gold and platinum canary diamond ring with an 1.80 carat center stone is valued at $5,000-$7,000 and a circa 1920 ladies’ Art Deco diamond, emerald and platinum jabow brooch is estimated at $10,000-$15,000.
Two autumn landscape paintings are standouts in this auction including a John Joseph Enneking (American, 1841-1916) forest landscape with house, oil on canvas, signed, and a John Sharman (American, 1879-1971) fall landscape, oil on canvas both estimated in the $3,000- $5,000 range. The west coast is represented as well with a beautiful Frank Reed Whiteside (American, 1866-1929) landscape of the California coast in a custom hand carved gilt frame estimated at $3,000-$4,000.
Of interest to the Boston Symphony Orchestra community is a large collection of drawings and paintings with assorted correspondence, all related to the BSO. They are by artist Donald Carlisle Gleason and are from a California estate.
There are also three outstanding abstract oil paintings by the Cuban artist Angel
Ricardo Ricardo Rios (Cuban-Mexican, b. 1965).
Decorative art in the sale includes two monumental horse sculptures of, silvered bronze, signed "J. P. Mene’”, a pair of 19th century French champlevé enamel candelabra, a 19th century hand painted Sévre urn with ormolu bronze mounts and a pair of French bronze doré cherub candelabras all from a New York collection.
In addition there are several outstanding lots of coins and stamps in the sale.
