ExamSpark™ brings a first-of-its-kind unified assessment experience to KCKPS that includes a rigorous item bank, a robust assessment building platform, and a delightful assessment delivery engine that students can access right in their LMS.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. and CHESAPEAKE, Va., Oct. 31, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ExamSpark™ has been selected by Kansas City Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) to manage and deliver its district-wide benchmark assessments for the 2022-2023 school year. ExamSpark will deploy its full range of products to achieve the following outcomes:
- KCKPS assessment leaders will leverage the ExamSpark CMS™ to create and manage assessment content, then leverage ExamSpark's LMS-based delivery engine, CAMPFIRE™, to deliver assessments to students directly in their learning management system.
- Students will receive immediate feedback about their performance on an assessment;
- Educators and administrators will receive classroom- and student-level mastery data to help make informed decisions regarding instruction; and
- Assessment specialists will receive psychometric data obtained from assessment administrations that can be used to improve the quality of assessment content over time, leading to a better measurement of student mastery.
KCKPS Assessments will consist of district-authored content, as well as content from IGNITE™, ExamSpark's bank of over 65,000+ proven, standards-based items.
"Our mission is to provide a unified solution for all stakeholders in the lifecycle of an assessment: content creators, administrators, educators, and students. In this design, everyone receives valuable insights that can dramatically accelerate the improvement of student learning outcomes. We are thrilled that KCKPS values our vision and our solution, and look forward to working with them closely this school year," said ExamSpark Founder and CEO, Kevin Campbell.
"We have data about student progress from different tools, but none at the standards level that ties to what the teachers are teaching through the guaranteed viable curriculum and what the state was assessing at the end of the year. ExamSpark allows us to easily create items that align to our sequencing, deliver through our LMS, and see results immediately for our PLC work. The ease of use, and to get exactly what we needed in such a short amount of time was impressive," said the Executive Director of Research, Evaluation, and Assessments, Dr. Zachary Conrad.
