In an initiative to offer an advanced managed WiFi, Mesh, and whole-home security solutions that unlock new revenue opportunities for service providers, KAONMEDIA and Minim are partnering and debuting their solution at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam. On September 14-18th in booth, #1.B16, KAON will demonstrate their globally-leading digital connectivity devices in the pay-TV and broadband industry— which now include Minim-enabled home routers.
Minim is the only home network management and security Software as a Service (SaaS) that gives operators freedom of choice in equipment and feature set for faster time to market, lower implementation costs, and solution longevity. At IBC, the companies’ managed WiFi solution demo will include: a mobile app, CSR portal, parental controls, cloud security, connected device insights, and more. Also at the booth, KAON will demonstrate their Set Top Box, mesh, business-grade access points, and AI-powered voice command products.
“Operators are already responding very positively to the combination of Minim’s best in class in-home device management combined with KAON’s world-class managed WiFi, Mesh, and Android Set-Top Box product lines,” said Ted Grauch, KAON USA President. “KAON believes strongly in providing high technology solutions that solve our customer’s business problems while still allowing flexibility and taking an open-systems approach. Our genuine partnership with Minim has allowed us to bring to market just such a solution.”
Now over 50 years running, the IBC Conference is the world's most influential media, entertainment and technology show. It has attracted more than 57,000 attendees from 170 countries. This year’s five-day conference promises over 1,700 of the world’s key technology suppliers and 400 seasoned industry speakers.
“I can’t think of a better place to announce our partnership with KAON than at IBC,” said Jeremy Hitchcock, Founder and CEO of Minim. “Our approach to home network management and security is the right solution for the entire entertainment and technology ecosystem— from the CPE manufacturer, to the service provider, to IoT device makers, and to subscribers. Together with KAON, we’re helping service providers deliver a seamless, high-performance, secure WiFi service that subscribers demand today.”
This announcement comes on the heels of both companies’ exhibiting at The Independent Show, by the National Cable Television Cooperative and American Cable Association, signaling their intent to service operators of all sizes and already-gained traction in the U.S. market.
