Karmalot Launches Website After Successful Beta Testing Period
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- Karmalot, a San Francisco based start up, launches its website after a two month long beta testing period. Karmalot is an iOS application and website used to send and receive gift cards through Facebook friends.

During the beta testing period Karmalot invited a handful of mommy bloggers, including one of the Top 25 NorCal Mom bloggers Debbie, to participate as beta testers. After what Karmalot describes as successful beta testing period, they are ready to launch the website and open the service to the public.
Currently, Karmalot has 128 live businesses participating on the application with large brand names that range from Dominos, to Marriot, and Lands’ End. However, in the future Karmalot hopes to promote and feature smaller businesses in the spirit of supporting local. Currently, there are 16 live local businesses in California: 15 local businesses in the Bay Area and one in Los Angeles.
The local businesses are: Native Juice Co., Palamino, BeGood Clothing, Ali Baba’s Cave, Marina Meats, Hole in the Wall Pizza SF, The Social Beauty Co., Café Luna, Greens & Co., The Pho Bar, Goodfella’s Pizzeria, Serendipity, Nail Today, Neja Cosmetics Salon, and Retro Fit Vintage.
Through this application, Karmalot is attempting to create a new outlet for keeping in touch with friends, family, and coworkers. Speaking to the trend of "micro-gifting," this app allows members to casually send and receive gift cards on occasions outside of birthdays and anniversaries.
