Karriem Allah releases lecture — “An Appeal to Black Entertainers & Comedians concerning the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, the Messiah,” — to examine the possibility that many Black Comedians, in particular, might be influenced to vilify the Honorable Louis Farrakhan in future Comedy Stand Up Performances.

He compares this situation to the “comedian” profession of today—explaining how comedians have the same unconstrained license to make fun of, mock, malign and even subtly slander others under the auspices of cracking jokes.

In this Message, Karriem Allah references the Quranic and Biblical verses that explain why Almighty God sends divine messengers to nations, and the opposition that HIS messengers have, traditionally, received from the people—especially from the leaders, to whom they are sent to warn and to guide into peace. Karriem Allah shows how these same circumstances apply to humanity today, in the context of the divine commissions of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Louis Farrakhan as messengers of Almighty God.

Referencing the Quranic narratives that describe the tactics used by the leaders who opposed divine messengers, Karriem Allah shows how the “poets” mentioned in these narratives represented the entertainers who had unrestricted license to spread falsehood against Allah’s divine messengers. He compares this situation to the “comedian” profession of today—explaining how comedians have the same unconstrained license to make fun of, mock, malign and even subtly slander others under the auspices of cracking jokes.

Karriem Allah encourages those who claim to be true believers in God—whether Christians, Muslims or Jews—to consider the many divine ordinances in the Scriptures that require us to be dignified, respectful, righteous, and honorable in expressing our God-given views and talents. He cites several Biblical and Quranic verses where Almighty God disdains immoral and unethical behaviors aimed at willfully ruining the reputations of others.

Karriem Allah appeals to Black entertainers and comedians, in particular, to refrain from defaming the Honorable Louis Farrakhan in their comic performances, as well as through other platforms where they exert extensive influence over public opinion.
