ATLANTA, Mar. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Katalon LLC announced the launch of Katalon Store (beta), an all-new marketplace platform for testers and developers to download and develop add-on products that extend the testing capabilities in Katalon Studio.
Katalon Store serves as a collaborative platform for users to install add-on products, also known as 'plugins' to add more features and optimize test automation strategies in Katalon Studio—a free intelligent desktop app for Web, API, and mobile test automation. Users can install, manage, rate and write reviews for every plugin. These plugins are built to meet users' requests looking to improve their projects' automation efficiency or meet their specific businesses needs.
"With Katalon Store, we hope to provide a platform for our testers and developers to build plugins, share useful custom keywords, or even commercialize them to address the market demands." Vu Lam, Katalon CEO, said.
The Store also consists of a set of both free and paid plugins. For paid plugins developed by Katalon, there is an evaluation period of 30 days free trial.

"Katalon Store lets others in the community make their own contributions to extend its functionality in ways we could not do by ourselves," according to Lam.
As of the beta launch day, Katalon Store introduced five free plugins—developed by Katalon team based on the requests received from the Katalon community. These unofficial plugin versions are already available to install. More products and featured plugins will soon be released. Here's a brief overview:
- Auto-healing Smart XPath: automatically heal failed object detection and make test cases less vulnerable to AUT changes
- Dynamic Test Case Planning and Execution: use advanced search queries to search for test cases by folders and tags
- Slack, JIRA, TestRail integration in Katalon Studio
"These are still the early days of Katalon Store; so there will be bugs to be fixed and features to be improved. We hope you will bear with us along this journey and send us feedback to make the platform better.
