Kauffman Founders School Presents Nine-Part Series on Leadership and Motivation for Entrepreneurs
Kansas City, Mo. (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Despite decades of conventional thinking about human motivation, best-selling business author Daniel Pink sheds new light on the art and science of motivation and how entrepreneurs can leverage these insights to be more effective leaders. These lessons are revealed today in a new nine-part series from the Kauffman Founders School.
The videos may be accessed at http://www.KauffmanFoundersSchool.org.
Pink is the author of five books about business, work and management issues, including the long-running New York Times bestsellers A Whole New Mind and Drive. He lectures to corporations, associations and universities around the world on economic transformation and the new workplace and in 2013, Thinkers 50 named him one of the top 15 business thinkers in the world.
Using a mix of social science, survey research and compelling stories, Pink reveals the personal qualities and specific skills necessary for effectively and ethically persuading, influencing and moving others. “If you want enduring motivation, you have to do things in your company that go with the grain of human nature,” Pink said, “not against it.”
He demonstrates that by understanding what social scientists have learned about human motivation, entrepreneurs can understand what moves people, and why it matters for their business. The video series includes modules titled:
1. The Big Lesson
2. Motivation for Entrepreneurs
3. Motivating by Autonomy
4. Motivating by Mastery
5. Motivating by Purpose
6. The Art of Persuasion
7. Attunement in Leadership
