SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Preserve the innocence of childhood play with Stairslide, the new semi-permanent children's slide for indoor stairs that launched on Kickstarter today. With Stairslide, imaginations can run wild as children enjoy a classic activity safely.
Children love to climb, jump, slide, and crash into and off of nearly anything they can find. And while encouraging exploration and imagination is important, so is safety. Unlike cardboard boxes, sleeping bags and other random objects children have used for generations to slide down the stairs, Stairslide offers a better way.
Stairslide features a patent-pending design that sits securely on the staircase. No assembly or fastening is required. When kids are done sliding, Stairslide is easily removed and stored away.
Small children on the move are naturally attracted to stairs. In fact, they're one of the most common sources of injury for toddlers and small children. But they don't have to be. Stairslide offers not only a source of play and fun but a safe way for children to come down the stairs - tumble-free. For older children, sliding down the stairs is a fun indoor activity that's screen-free. What's not to love about a technology-free activity that gets kids up and moving?
"My kids love sliding down the stairs with their sleeping bags," said Jacob Webb, creator of Stairslide. "We wanted to encourage our kids to play but worried about their safety when sliding down the stairs. Stairslide was created to give us peace of mind and our kids a fun activity to enjoy."
Stairslide uses a high-density rubber strip to stay in place on the stairs. The high coefficient of friction prevents the slide from moving during use. Its nesting design allows users to cover tall staircases to provide kids with the thrill of sliding all the way down. When not in use, Stairslide's pieces stack together for convenient storage. Each Stairslide piece is approximately 20 inches wide with a 14-inch seat and covers three stairs, leaving room to walk up and down the stairs next to the slide. Combine up to five segments for tall staircases, and adventurous children.
Stairslide is available to pre-order starting at $37. To pre-order, visit pr.go2.fund/stairslide.
