KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services Performs Yearly Fall Tune-Up
With summer over and concert season imminent, it's time for elite ground travel professionals to bone up on their skills and prove their mettle, says KLS founder Alex Darbahani
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- October at KLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services is a special month. Fall has arrived, concert season is imminent, and another major awards season is just a few months away. Before any of that happens, the limousine service's performs its yearly retraining as all of its professional chauffeurs take time to make sure their skills are up to par and that they are fully up to date on the finer points of providing high-end ground transportation at a world-class level. So says the firm's founder, Alex Darbahani, who is currently engaged in an annual process he calls the Fall Tune-Up.
"Anyone with a driver's license is a driver," says Mr. Darbahani. "Chauffeurs, on the other hand, are highly trained and experienced professionals who are expert at navigating through city streets and highways driving large top-tier vehicles," he says. "The Tune Up is about making sure they are all completely up to speed; they know everything they need about their vehicle and the road. If you're driving a stretch limo like a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, it's a must to understand how it works in order to drive it with complete safety."
"We actually get in vans and drive all over the region, just to make sure our team knows almost every inch of the most commonly travelled routes. We also have them go over the manuals for all of our vehicles and we administer both written and behind-the-wheel tests so that we know each of them is the best of the best," says Mr. Darbahani. "We only hire chauffeurs with years of experience under their belts, but even the best of them need to keep up with the latest changes in their vehicles or stay on top of changing road conditions. A KLS chauffeur need to understand what's going on in the cities they work in not only for getting around, but because we also expect our drivers to be mobile concierges who can answer questions passengers might have."
Mr. Darbahani is emphatic on the subject of decorum. "One thing we don't have to retrain our great chauffeurs on, however, is keeping a personable but dignified attitude. They know from before their first day with us to only speak when a passenger has spoken to them, to be dressed to the nines, and to focus on their jobs. This is particularly important for busy VIP clients who need to do their work as they get to an appearance or who just want to relax and unwind with their friends or families," says Mr. Darbahani.
"Celebrities might get constantly asked for autographs and selfies when they are elsewhere. From us, they simply get where they need to go and have their needs met."
