Village Roadshow Entertainment CEO and former Sony Pictures Entertainment Global Television Head will bring his expertise and insight to the role as the content and commerce company continues expansion
NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Knocking, a company that produces e-commerce for all media, announced today that Steve Mosko, CEO, Village Roadshow Entertainment Group, one of the world's leading global entertainment companies, will be joining as a media advisor. Mosko will advise Knocking during its expansion of commerce and content in local station groups, in addition to national entertainment.
Knocking is a leader in producing content and commerce for media companies to create new connections with their audiences through compelling segments featuring new, popular and exclusive products. Knocking, named to the 2022 Inc. 5000 list, offers brands unparalleled industry expertise, and recently added six new hosts to its talent roster. Now, Mosko will leverage his 30+ years of experience in the entertainment industry to further drive the company's rapid growth.
"Knocking understands the importance of finding the right medium and the right platform to reach audiences, and I welcome the step into e-commerce to support and continue to elevate Knocking's brand and media partnerships," Mosko said.
Since 2019 Mosko has served as the CEO of Village Roadshow Entertainment group which produces premiere-quality content for film and television distributed across all digital and liner platforms. Prior to this, Mosko spent 24 years with Sony Pictures Entertainment generating global hits including "Breaking Bad," "Shark Tank," "The Crown," and "Seinfeld," among dozens of other cultural touchstones. Mosko and his team were early to embrace multiple genres of content and emerging platforms, including a rapidly growing cable industry and the advent of streaming services in today's digital age.
"Knocking is consistently supporting the evolution of e-commerce with unique and creative opportunities for entrepreneurs and brands to reach new audiences," said Markus Reinmund, CEO, Knocking. "We're excited about the addition of Steve's deep expertise and perspective to raise our level even more and provide an outstanding point of view as we continue to grow our partnerships."
"Steve's proven ability to innovate and produce the very best content is unmatched," added Brian Meehan, COO, Knocking. "Knocking will benefit from his expertise as we partner with brands and media companies on the fusion of content and commerce."
Knocking's process is turn-key. The team collaborates with a media company to develop authentic short-form shopping segments, then secures talent and creates lasting relationships with the brands that will best serve a partner's audience. Knocking offers full-service production or will support a partner's in-house needs.
Knocking has worked with leading U.S. and Canadian media companies, including CBS News, Disney ABC, iHeartMedia, Cox Media Group, Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Meredith and NBC Owned Television Stations, to incubate commerce businesses and turn passive audiences into active consumers.
