Inc. Magazine has ranked Knot Standard at #130 on its 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

“Knot Standard was founded on the principle of creating pride in ourselves, our products, and our customers so we’re extremely honored and humbled to have been recognized on this prestigious list of our country’s top entrepreneurial ventures,” says Knot Standard co-founder and C.E.O. Matthew Mueller.

In addition to ranking at #130 overall, Knot Standard is also recognized on the list as the 10th fastest-growing retailer in the U.S. and the 9th fastest-growing company overall in New York.

At only five years old, Knot Standard has seen extremely fast annual growth through their core business of custom-made men’s clothing online (, and has expanded to showrooms in New York City, Washington D.C., Dallas, Houston, Austin and Dubai. Showrooms in both Chicago and Los Angeles are set to open in the coming months.

The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident."

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held from October 21 through 23, 2015 in Orlando. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of this and past generations, such as Marcus Lemonis, host of the CNBC show “The Profit,” Robert Herjavec, one of the main "sharks" on ABC-TV’s “Shark Tank,” KIND Founder and CEO Daniel Lubetzky, and Co-Founder of JJ Ramberg.
