Knowledge Delivery Systems Promotes Diana Richie to Vice President of Business Development
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), a leading provider of strategic and blended professional learning solutions for states and school districts, has announced today that Diana Richie is being promoted to Vice President of Business Development at the company. In this role, Diana will build, manage and leverage relationships with the world's leading experts and organizations in Pre-K-12 content, pedagogy and technology to ensure that KDS is creating long-term value for schools, districts and state education customers through its rigorous professional development courses and personalized, social learning platform.
In her former role as Platform Evangelist, Diana worked with the KDS team to design, develop, maintain, and extended the size and health of KDS’s Professional Learning Platform (PLP) so that PLP became the platform for school teachers and leaders to find relevant content, experts and colleagues and get the support they need to implement transformative new practices.
Before joining KDS, Diana served as National Director for Performance Improvement at Fuel Education, the leading provider of online learning for schools and a subsidiary of K-12, Inc. For eight years, she led the K-12 Education team as Executive Director at Oracle Corporation and acted as a marketing and sales executive at Hewlett-Packard and Plato Learning/TRO. She began her career as an English teacher using technology to develop reading and writing fluency with middle school and high school students at the Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston, Texas.
“As KDS continues to expand and pave the way for strategic and blended professional development district-wide solutions, we need to ensure the strength of the leadership team and Diana’s promotion is well deserved”, said Alvin Crawford, CEO of KDS. “Diana is an exemplary leader who has consistently delivered positive results for our company and partners and is poised to drive accelerated growth for our business.”
“Strong partnerships are critical to our success,” said Diana. “My goal is to help KDS and our partners realize the full potential of these relationships so that teachers and school leaders benefit from rigorous and effective professional development courses and from a community of experts and colleagues who can help them grow professionally and meet the educational needs of every child.”
