KOAMTAC Unveils the KDC®80, a New and Powerful Entry-Level Barcode Scanner
The KDC80 is the successor to the widely popular KDC200 Barcode Scanner. The KDC80 is an overall improvement over the KDC200, featuring Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, an upgraded laser or CCD engine, and a Type-C USB port. It also replaces the KDC20/100/250 scanners.

The KDC80 targets the entry-level barcode scanning segment, delivering the dependability customers expect from KOAMTAC at an economical price point.
The connectivity of the KDC80 improves upon its predecessors (KDC20/100/200/250) with a host of updated features. The KDC80 implements Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.0 to enable faster and simpler connection methods for use with a variety of smart devices. Additionally, the KDC80 features NFC pairing for Android devices, which allows host devices to connect in HID or SPP by simply tapping the NFC antenna area of the host device with the KDC80.
Physically, the KDC80 is compact and lightweight, measuring less than two cubic inches in volume and weighing only 1.2 ounces. This simple and elegant form factor allows the KDC80 to be worn on a lanyard for an entire shift or simply stored in a pocket until needed. Like its predecessor, the KDC80 is equipped with an OLED screen and LED indicators to quickly relay scanning feedback to the user.
The KDC80 can be outfitted with a laser or CCD scan engine, capable of reading all major 1D barcode symbologies. 5MB of on-board memory can store up to 262,000 UPC product barcodes and allows basic applications to run right on the device. A rechargeable 200mAh lithium-polymer battery powers the KDC80 and achieves maximum battery life by utilizing advanced power management techniques to put the KDC into "hibernation mode" when not actively in use. When the KDC80 needs to be charged, simply connect it to a power source via the included Type-C USB cable.

Included with every KDC is a complimentary SDK for Android, iOS, Mac OS X, Windows, Xamarin, and Cordova/Ionic as well as technical support from top engineers and the development team to ensure ease of data collection in any situation. The KDC80 also includes complimentary access to the KOAMTACON MDMS.
The KDC80 will be available for demonstration at NRF 2022: Retail's Big Show in New York City, January 16-18, at booth 3231. The KDC180 will be available for purchase directly from the KOAMTAC online store in Q1 of 2022.
