In addition to treating general infertility, Dr. Van Heertum offers expertise in fertility surgery and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
The team at NFC looks forward to Dr. Van Heertum joining the practice and believes she is the perfect fit. Kristin Van Heertum MD offers a strong educational background and surgical training.
Dr. Van Heertum earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania. To round out her training, Dr. Van Heertum completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University. Throughout her training, she published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at a number of national meetings.
During her residency and fellowship, Kristin Van Heertum MD gained a wealth of knowledge about fertility diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, she trained in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and robotic fertility surgery.
