KSQ Architects Announces New York City Office
New York (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- KSQ Architects, a national architecture and engineering firm, today announced the opening of a new office in New York City.
The new KSQ office is located at 900 Broadway, in the Goelet Building–a historic Flatiron District building designed by prominent Gilded Age architect Stanford White in the 1800s. Rachel Birnboim Kochman, AIA, LEED BD+C, a senior associate and project manager at KSQ, will lead the office.
Birnboim Kochman joined KSQ in 2005 and has served as studio director of the firm’s White Plains, NY, office. She is a specialist in New York City multifamily housing and in Collegiate Residence Life work, and leads the firm’s assignments with New York City developers, including Essex Capital and the company’s 16-14 Madison Street in Ridgewood–the largest residential project currently underway in Queens.
Founded in 1988, KSQ is a full-service firm providing architecture, engineering and interior design services to clients in the multifamily housing, K12, collegiate student life, healthcare, senior living and mixed-use market sectors. The new office is an overdue and welcome addition to KSQ’s collaborative network of national regional offices and supports KSQ’s “one-firm” approach. New York City clients will have full access to the firm’s national staff and thought leadership platform.
KSQ employs 120 staff members nationwide and has expanded to meet client demand with the openings of new offices in Denver, Charleston, and Charlotte over the past two years. The firm is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in White Plains, NY, this year and has won numerous AIA awards for projects in the region, including West Side Dining at Stony Brook University, the Carnegie Learning Center at Kingston City School District, and 360 Smith Street–a mixed-use development in the heart of Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn.
“KSQ is aligning our talented staff and resources in the New York City market in order to better serve our clients in this area and to expand KSQ’s multifamily portfolio,” said KSQ managing partner Armand Quadrini, AIA, LEED AP.
