“The Box”: a stirring true account of a woman’s redemption. “The Box” is the creation of published author KT Patterson, a full-time sales executive and part-time writer from the Midwest who had been married to Beth before her passing and is now on a quest to be a better man.
Patterson writes, “Beth asked that evening, ‘Can we talk?’
The look in her eyes told Kyle that this was not going to be good. His mind spun in a thousand directions with dread of what was to come. He thought that she was going
to tell him that she had been having an affair. His heart was pounding, and fear started to seep in. Beth started by saying, ‘I want you to know that I love you more than life
itself.’ She sat there wringing her hands, which just added to Kyle’s dread.
‘The Bible study I have been going to has really made an impact on me and my life. It has shown me so much about myself and how my life is going so wrong.’ Beth
took a deep breath, and tears formed in her eyes. ‘It has shown me that I cannot live with this guilt anymore, and I have to confess it to you. It is like a weight pressing down on me, crushing me to the point I cannot breathe.’
Kyle’s heart clenched into an even tighter ball.
Beth continued, ‘I have struggled with this for so long I don’t know where to begin.’ Tears flowed freely down her cheeks, and her hands started to shake. ‘I am afraid that I
am going to jail.’ ”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, KT Patterson’s new book is an emotional roller-coaster ride that proves it is never too late for forgiveness.
Patterson’s story reaches out to those battling their demons in secret, encouraging them to lay down their struggles at the feet of Christ, who conquers all.
