International Software Awards Program Includes Storm Center in List of Finalists

"Our goal at KUBRA is to be the sole provider for utilities seeking to enhance their customer experience through advanced technology." - Rick Watkin, President and CEO of KUBRA

KUBRA, a leading provider of customer experience management solutions for some of the largest utility, insurance, and government entities, is a finalist in the 2020 SaaS Awards Program in the category Best SaaS in Energy and Utilities.

Now in its fifth year of celebrating software innovation, the Software-as-a-Service Awards program accepts entries worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Australasia, EMEA, and U.K.

KUBRA launched Storm Center in 2006 to fill a communication gap and provide utility customers with a self-service option to find critical information during power outages. Today, it provides an interactive, map-based view of outages with information about each outage location, such as the number of customers affected, estimated time of restoration, outage cause, crew status, and aggregated outages by area. Storm Center sets itself apart from the competition with its user experience, customization options, multiple outage map layers for a detailed view, and enhanced analytics to track map usage.

"Our goal at KUBRA is to be the sole provider for utilities seeking to enhance their customer experience through advanced technology. Storm Center’s market dominance in the utility mapping sector reassures us that we’re providing solutions that meet and exceed the needs of our customers,” said Rick Watkin, President and CEO of KUBRA.

“It’s our joy at the SaaS Awards to celebrate the innovations that fuel business, although of course compiling this year’s shortlist has been more difficult than ever. We look forward to announcing the category winners at the end of August,” said Head of Operations for the SaaS Awards, James Williams.

Final SaaS Awards winners will be announced on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 and the program will return in Spring 2021. Hundreds of organizations entered, with international entries coming from North America, Australia, U.K., Europe, and the Middle East.
