KW Realtors Kim and Tey Miller Support Carroll Education Foundation
Dallas/Fort Worth Realtors Kim and Tey Miller, of Keller Williams, are sponsoring the Carroll Education Foundation to help teachers give students an exceptional education.
SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In order to assist Carroll Independent School District (CISD) students, Realtors Kim and Tey Miller, of the Kim Miller Group at Keller Williams Realty in Southlake, are sponsoring the Carroll Education Foundation. Their fundraiser is indefinite and open to the public. The Keller Williams Luxury Group, which has over 25 agents, has donated $20,000 to be the title sponsor for the Carroll Education Foundation teacher's fund.
"Keller Williams Luxury Group of Southlake is the title sponsor for the first time this year and is honored to be a part of this," said Kim. "Teachers do not get compensated enough for their hard work and time they invest in our children. They are building the future generations and they should be recognized and rewarded for that."
Funding Carroll ISD teachers can have a tangible, immediate impact on the education students receive. More teachers mean more individualized instruction, more inspiring electives and a more diverse curriculum for every student in the district. The Carroll Education Foundation supplements funding for teachers and other educators whose positions the State of Texas does not pay for, but the community considers necessary for a superior education.
"Southlake is considered an affluent school district so we are required by the state to send back over $30,000,000 through Robin Hood to the less fortunate districts, and that does not leave us much money for our teachers," noted Tey. "Some teachers are paid more in different districts, so in order for us to get the best teachers, we try to have a fund that we raise money to subsidize things for teachers like computers, bonuses for teachers, and extra money for special projects, etc."
"We have two children that attended K-12 in CISD and we want to continue to support and give back because these teachers have been so good to our children," concluded Kim.
