MCHENRY, Ill., July 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jessup Manufacturing Company has announced that Kyle Townsend of Richmond, IL, will receive the annual Paul S. Jessup Scholarship, an unrestricted grant of $2,500 from Jessup to support their education.

Townsend will be a junior at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. His major is Medical Technology with a minor in Biology and intends to pursue a Masters in Bio Markers and Diagnostic Testing.
"First, I want to thank Jessup for the scholarship," said Kyle Townsend. "I know the (pandemic) has been extremely destructive, but it has helped me discover a true passion and a new end goal: to help people recover and get healthy."
Kyle is the son of Jessup's Quality Assurance Manager Beth Townsend, and her husband Rick Townsend.
The Paul S. Jessup Scholarship recognizes academic achievement and dedication to making a difference in society. It was established in 2016 to honor the memory of the company's founder during its 60th anniversary year of operation. The scholarship program is open to Jessup Manufacturing Company employees, their spouses, children, and grandchildren. The award is entirely unrestricted as to age, gender identity, race, religion, or political affiliation.
