NEW YORK, April 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gerard Adams, former General Manager, Corporate Strategy, Kyowa Hakko Bio, Tokyo, accepted the position of President and CEO of Kyowa Hakko USA on April 1st, 2022. Now based in the New York City office, Adams takes over from Leo Cullen, who was with KHUS from 2007 to 2022, initially as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, in 2012 as the Executive Vice President, and as President and CEO since January 1st, 2016, until the present.
Since 2009 when Adams joined Kirin Holdings as Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, the two C-Suite executives have worked closely together. Cullen congratulated Adams on this appointment by saying, "Gerard is committed to supporting KHUS during this exciting time, leading with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. He will spearhead future developments at KHUS, drawing from his wealth of experience in cross-cultural management and high-level strategic corporate planning."
Stepping into his new role, Adams, who holds Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Business degrees from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, his native country, as well as multiple board positions in both the USA and Japan, is ready for this new chapter of his career.
