La Grange, Illinois, Man Named Grand Prize Winner of 2018 IsaBody Challenge
Mark Ostrowski of La Grange, Illinois, and Tara McGinty of Kennewick, Washington, were named the grand prize winner and runner-up, respectively, of the 2018 IsaBody Challenge.
GILBERT, Ariz., August 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ --During a special ceremony at the Isagenix Global Celebration 2018 event in Nashville, Tennessee, Mark Ostrowski of La Grange, Illinois, was named the grand prize winner of the 2018 IsaBody Challenge®. The IsaBody Challenge and the annual Celebration event are both hosted by Isagenix International, a global health and wellness company providing nutrition and lifestyle solutions.
Ostrowski, 54, was one of 15 finalists and one of more than 46,600 individuals from the U.S. and Canada to complete this year's IsaBody Challenge. His personal transformation story, which included completing seven IsaBody Challenges and releasing 100 pounds, was the top choice by a panel of Isagenix judges.
"The saddest day in my 54 years on this earth was the moment I found out that I had burdened my three children with my poor health. They went to a friend, and they said, 'Can you tell our dad about your program? We are worried about him,'" Ostrowski said as he shared his story onstage with event attendees. "My broken heart made a promise that day, and my wife, Jennifer, and I started Isagenix and the IsaBody Challenge. Since then, my energy has increased, my weight has decreased, and my spirits have lifted. I am now an active, fit role model for my children and am a loving husband. For the first time in my life, I was able to be a champion for my own health!"
As the 2018 IsaBody Challenge Grand Prize Winner, Ostrowski receives a US$25,000 prize as well as an all-expenses-paid vacation to Costa Rica in honor of his IsaBody Challenge achievements. At the same ceremony Aug. 6, Tara McGinty of Kennewick, Washington, was named IsaBody Challenge Runner-Up and receives a US$10,000 prize, along with a trip to the IsaBody™ Escape in Costa Rica with the other contest finalists.
"It wasn't long ago that I was a seriously overweight mom," McGinty said as she was recognized onstage for her achievement. "I spent most of my days in bed or on the couch suffering from severe discomfort throughout my whole body and just total exhaustion. I felt like I was suffocating in my body and in a lifestyle that didn't fit who I was truly meant to be. Fast forward three years later, and I am down 118 pounds!* I am free to be active with my kids and in my own life."
"We're thrilled to have Mark and Tara represent Isagenix as this year's IsaBody Challenge Grand Prize Winner and Runner-Up, respectively," said Travis Ogden, Isagenix chief executive officer. "With more than 46,600 participants this year alone, it was an amazing accomplishment even to be an IsaBody Challenge Finalist. Being recognized as the top two from this tremendous group of 15 finalists speaks volumes about Mark and Tara's hard work and dedication. They're an inspiration to us all, and Isagenix is proud our exceptional nutrition solutions could support them in their incredible transformations."
