Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- During these events assistance with housing issues, the right to counsel in civil cases and parents of teenagers who need information on how to deal with their teens legal issues are a few of the subjects that will be addressed. All events are free and open to the public!
The highlight of the weeklong series comes in the form of a voting rights simulation. Created by the staff at the LA Law Library and the Council of California County Law Libraries this voting simulation was specifically designed with high school students in mind. Teachers and students throughout Southern CA are being asked to participate in this collaborative effort to educate today’s youth on the voting issues related to the restriction of voting by Race, Citizenship, Gender, Native American, Poll Taxes and Age. The elections will be related to those taking place in 1864-Lincoln v. McClellan, 1916 Wilson v. Hughes, 1952 Eisenhower v. Stevenson, 1964 Johnson v. Goldwater.
