LabRoots Announces Latest Winner of STEM Scholarship Program
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (PRWEB) June 01, 2018 -- LabRoots, the leading provider of educational and interactive virtual events for research scientists, clinicians and physicians from around the world, is excited to announce Faith Robinson, a 17-year-old senior at the School for Advanced Studies, as the winner of the LabRoots Spring 2018 STEM scholarship, awarding her $3,000 to support her in her academic pursuits at her college of choice, Spelman College.
While enrolled at the School for Advanced Studies, Robinson has been dual-enrolled full time finishing her high school diploma, while attending Miami Dade College, graduating with both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade College. After she finishes her degree at Spelman College, she plans to ultimately become a neurosurgeon.
“LabRoots encourages digital collaboration to further scientific collaboration and learning through our online platform and it’s exciting to extend that chance for learning to the next generation of scientist like Faith, as they set and achieve their academic goals,” said Dave Galuppo, vice president at LabRoots.
With hundreds of excellent candidates, this merit-based scholarship from LabRoots was opened world-wide to all high school seniors, college and graduate students 17 years or older. Applicants were all seeking a degree in one of the STEM fields - science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The scholarship will aid Robinson in funding of tuition, projects, training, and other cost associated with her academic pursuits.
