Lakeland Tire Dealer Opens with Focus on Giving Back to the Community

No stranger to community involvement through its long-standing support of A Cause for Paws, Libby's Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation, and other worthy causes, Action Gator Tire has taken things to the next level with the announcement of its charitable outreach initiative, Gator Gives. The Gator Gives program is built to provide much-needed support to the less fortunate by providing them with the assistance they deserve.
The program will provide a free set of tires and a year of auto maintenance valued up to $2,500 to a deserving member of the Lakeland community. In an effort to further engage the population, Action Gator Tire encourages people to nominate someone they think could benefit from Gator Gives. Nominations for the contest will be accepted through September 10, 2018, and can be submitted online at http://www.gatorgives.com. Action Gator Tire will announce the winners of Gator Gives on September 24, 2018.
In celebration of the Gator Gives program and the new Lakeland location, Action Gator Tire is throwing a massive grand opening party. The family event will feature free food and fun attractions for kids including a bounce house and face painting. Local Lakeland radio station WPCV 97.5 FM will bring the hits with a live broadcast during the event.
"It's going to be a blast for everybody," says Christensen. "We've got food, prizes, music, and a lot more. We want to give families around Lakeland a great time and show them that we're here for them. We're more than a great place for tires and oil changes. We're community members."
The event is free and open to the public with a variety of door prizes and giveaways for attendees. Prizes include a set of Michelin tires, a NAPA tool cart, concert tickets, and much more.
"We see it as a small way of giving back," Christensen says. "Action Gator Tire is just so happy to be in Lakeland, and we want to show people how much it means to us."
The grand opening event for the new location of Action Gator Tire will be held on August 4, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4516 Florida Avenue South in Lakeland, FL.
