Lantana Awarded Measure & Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) Umbrella Contract
EAST THETFORD, Vt. (PRWEB) August 26, 2018 -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded Lantana Consulting Group an umbrella contract to support quality improvement programs. The programs measure, report, and support value-based payments covering quality of care, care coordination, population/community health, safety, person- and caregiver-centered experience and outcomes, and cost reduction. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) award has a ceiling of $1.6B over the five-year life of the contract.
CMS awarded Lantana two prime and six subcontracts worth a total of $34,658,056 under the previous MIDS umbrella working with five business partners as prime/sub-contractors. Lantana’s prime bid included commitments from 13 subcontracting partners, such as Abt Associates, General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and NORC at the University of Chicago.
“Lantana is pleased to continue our work supporting CMS’s efforts to improve the quality of care through quality measurement,” said Mike Tushan, Director of Business Development. “We have built a strong team that builds on our history of supporting the CMS MIDS program and look forward to bringing that experience to help CMS ensure quality measurement is meaningful for patients, providers, and payment.”
CMS will announce initial task orders (TOs) awards after Labor Day and additional task order opportunities will follow in 2019.
