LapWorks Introduces the First VR Swivel Seat That Prevent Falls & Crashes while Enjoying Virtual Reality

Avoid the usual disorientation that is common when spinning 360 degrees while Using your VR headset

Loss of balance, falling or crashing into real world objects while using a virtual reality (VR) headset are issues that demand attention. Damage and injury can result from a moment of confusion or dizziness. While most newer systems encourage users to mark out safe zones, both in the real and virtual worlds, this doesn't prevent the disorientation that is common when spinning 360 degrees and experiencing a view very different from reality.

That is why LapWorks developed an inexpensive solution that allows gamers to explore those strange new worlds while safely seated.

LapWorks VR Swivel allows players to lose themselves in the game or virtual experience. No need to worry about tripping over feet or real-world objects and falling. The user can remain seated safely on the floor, while spinning freely with no effort or concern. Players can confidently face the next challenge and viewers can explore the full virtual world all around them safely and with ease of movement.

Taking VR to the next level with quick and easy 360 degree spinning, the LapWorks VR Swivel rotates on 18 steel ball bearings and has a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The top is padded with a 1.5 inch stiff foam cushion that will not compress over time. And the slipcover is removable and washable.

LapWorks VR Swivel works great for stationary games and experiences, including titles like Robo Recall, Beat Saber 360, Moss, I expect you to die, YouTube VR and many more.

No batteries needed, since the user is seated and rotates the swivel with their feet. No connection to the headset is needed. VR headsets track the movement automatically, so everything simply works as expected.

LapWorks VR Swivel can be used on a stable chair or stool if there is room for a 16” diameter circle, but we encourage users to exercise caution when doing so. Our intended use is to place the swivel on the floor. It can be used on hard floors or on carpet.

Compared to expensive, dedicated gaming chairs or office chairs, LapWorks VR Swivel is inexpensive, lightweight and portable. The swivel can be easily stored in a cabinet or closet when not in use or quickly bundled into a bag or backpack when traveling.

For children and adults 12 and older, LapWorks VR Swivel is available now at an introductory price of $24.95. Regular price is $39.95. Not sold in retail outlets. LapWorks VR Swivel is available only at LapWorks website and on
