Large Enterprises to Share Container Architecture from Production Deployments at Open Infrastructure Summit in Denver
Best practices in Kubernetes, Kata Containers, Docker, Argo and more from users like Adobe Advertising Cloud, Arm and AT&T will be showcased as open source communities gather in Denver, April 29 - May 1.
AUSTIN, Texas, March 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The operators and developers behind some of the most prominent names in cloud computing infrastructure will reveal the secrets of how they successfully deploy containers to solve infrastructure challenges and accelerate application development April 29 – May 1 at the Open Infrastructure Summit in Denver.
Experts from Adobe Advertising Cloud, Arm and AT&T among many more organizations will speak at the Open Infrastructure Summit (formerly the OpenStack Summit), which brings together people building and combining open source technologies to power their cloud infrastructure services. A primary focus of the conference is the integration of open source technologies, and attendees can meet the operators who are combining Kubernetes with Kata Containers, OpenStack and other projects in production. From container security to real-world architectures putting these projects in production, dozens of sessions will address how organizations are achieving results with container technologies.

Highlights will include:
Kubernetes - 7 Lessons Learned from 7 Data Centers in 7 Months: Adobe Advertising Cloud undertook a rapid, seven-month journey to migrate from VMs to Kubernetes and reach a multi-cloud/multi-region deployment. The Adobe Advertising Cloud team will share lessons learned from seven real-world production challenges it faced with StatefulSets, GitOps, autoscaling for machine learning and auto-remediation.
Kata Containers on Arm: Let's Talk about Our Progress!: Arm will provide an update on advancements being made using Kata Containers on Arm's 64-bit architecture. The session will include demonstrations of running Kata Containers on aarch64 processors with Docker and also with Kubernetes and CRI-O.
Lessons Learned Running Open Infrastructure on Baremetal Kubernetes Clusters in Production: Members of the AT&T team behind OpenStack-Helm and Airship will discuss the challenges and benefits of running OpenStack on Kubernetes in production, including the performance of upgrades while maintaining mission critical environments powering their 5G infrastructure.
Bare metal provisioning in Airship, or "Ironic: it's not just for OpenStack anymore": AT&T will also have a session discussing how Ironic (OpenStack's baremetal provisioning service) is capable of operating in standalone mode, and their plans to include Ironic as an additional bare metal provisioning driver for their DryDock component.
Kata Containers Project Update and Onboarding: See what's new in the latest Kata Containers release (1.7 is scheduled to release the week of the Summit!), what you can expect to see from the project in the upcoming release, and how you can get started contributing.
In addition, numerous collaborative sessions on containers will be offered at the Forum, where open infrastructure operators and upstream developers will gather to jointly chart the future of open source infrastructure.
