STOCKTON, Calif., Oct. 26, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ijeoma Ononuju marks his publishing debut with the release of "Princess Yemisi Adekunle" (published by Balboa Press). In this fascinating tale, a beautiful Nigerian princess must overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles as she struggles to balance the duties of her crown with her family responsibilities.
Edukoya Adekunle III is a 40-year-old man and the son of a wealthy king in Nigeria. After the death of his wife, he sets out to America with his seven children and settles in San Jose, California, where he meets Yemisi Adeniji. Yemisi is a 19-year-old attractive young woman taking up a degree as a nurse practitioner in America. An unexpected emergency brings them together on an 85-mile drive along the beautiful Highway 680 where a remarkable thing happens on their journey: they fall in love.
"Princess Yemisi Adekunle" is a fictional story based on "what ifs." What if there is a kingdom in the remote state of Nigeria, where evils pervade and a leader emerges to make real sacrifices for the sake of love, the land he loves dearly? What if there is a princess somewhere in Nigeria, pretty as she can be, however, is human? She is mother of five boys with the responsibility of a whole kingdom to care for. This novel tells a tale of love, sacrifice, growth and a quest for peace and progress.
When asked what he wants readers to take away from the story, the author states, "Don't judge a book by the color of its cover. Look at the whole picture by isolating the weaknesses from the strengths of the persons. We all make mistakes and most mistakes were born for the greater courses."
