As the integration of motion and video into all types of online content has continued to grow, individuals and organizations have been tasked with finding perfect stock clips for their projects in an effort to relay specific messaging. In the past, the options for stock footage have been limited and/or expensive, especially for budget conscious boutique agencies and individual content creators. With the introduction of ClipStock, via Kickstarter, this disrupter is aiming to capture the attention of those looking for an affordable alternative to best leverage truly unlimited content.

Understanding the void that exists within the stock footage space, the team behind Clipstock worked tirelessly to make the first affordable, single price point stock footage website for content creators… with no additional fees and no up-sell after the membership. Offering HD, 2K, and 4K clips, ClipStock was specifically designed with the freelancer, editor, small production company and film student in mind. The team members behind the venture have also addressed other trends within the industry, such as a lack of available sequencing clips on other stock footage sites, and the disparity in quality between certain shots through a single vendor.

“We’ve come to find that ANYONE; from seasoned professionals to young hungry freelancers and students, live event film makers to wedding cinematographers who have a distinct eye when it comes to shooting content find ways to make the boring, interesting,” says Tim Visser, ClipStock’s Chief Operations Officer. “We’ve coached our contributors on combining a bunch of different angles, movement, and the use of tights, mids, and wides to make a typical cocktail hour look very interesting and cinematic. And, most importantly, as a team, we recognize that the typical pricing structure of many stock video sites makes it virtually impossible for those of us that can’t afford the per clip pricing model”.

Duane Mason, a longtime field producer and contributor added, “this unlimited access single price point model along with this type of sequencing structure often enables editors to cut together scenes -- shot from multiple angles -- as if they were on sight shooting the content themselves. This is an extremely helpful tool for developing stronger storytelling and maintaining continuity within video projects.”

In an effort to promote industry partnerships with videographers and cinematographers, ClipStock has compensated its contributors up front for all footage highlighted on the platform. In turn the footage can be used royalty-free for all ClipStock members. This allows members the flexibility of creating the story with no clip limitations.

ClipStock is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for an initial sign-up period and plans for full launch in July of 2019.
