ATLANTA, Aug. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Atlanta-based Launchpad2X (LP2X) announces its final call for applicants to its 2019 3-Day Core Program, a highly successful accelerator for women entrepreneurs. The nation's only "founder-to-CEO" program, LP2X provides educational training, access to capital resources, mentorship, and strong network building to women-led ventures.
August 31st is the final day to apply and there are only a few slots still available for the September 30 through October 3 program. LP2X is an intensive boot camp style entrepreneurship training program focused on growing the skills, knowledge base, and confidence of women founders and CEOs who want to scale their businesses. Nearly 150 CEOs are graduates of the program and 90 percent are still in business. The average growth rate is 200 percent a year, 25% of the companies have exceeded $1 million in sales, and there have been nine successful investment exits. These metrics sharply defy national figures. At the 2018 Venture Atlanta Conference, LP2X grad Mary Cathryn Kolb, CEO of brrr, a company that produces cooling fabrics was the first main stage presenter at the conference and obtained several million dollars in funding.
"We call it 'rocket fuel for women-owned businesses' because so many of our graduates 'take off' following their Launchpad2X experience," says LP2X Chairman and Founder Bernie Dixon. "One of the most significant factors investors look at when evaluating companies is the CEO. By helping women transition from founders to true CEOs, they develop the confidence and skills to grow their businesses and obtain capital. Following the boot camp, our graduates have access to master classes, the LP2X podcast The 2X CEO, showcases and events that help them attract investors and clients, and a supportive community of mentors and other women CEOs."
Workshops at the boot camp are designed and delivered by subject matter experts who are passionate about helping women-led organizations gain critical business knowledge, boost revenue, and manage risk. Participants interact with local business leaders, venture capitalists, angel investors, and successful entrepreneurs who've built some of Atlanta's most recognized brands.
"The LP2X program was the start of some serious rocket fuel for KRG. I entered the program with so much to learn and left a true CEO. LP2X literally changed the trajectory of our business. The core program was motivational and inspiring, and I will forever be grateful to Bernie and the ecosystem of powerful women from the LP2X program," says Marie Hunter, 2016 Core Program graduate and CEO of KRG Oil Company
A 2018 Harris Poll revealed that half of Americans want to work for a female leader and that women-led organizations are also more likely to have engaged, inspired and satisfied employees. "Women are underbanked and have limited access to the vast amount of capital available to entrepreneurs-- even though the data tells us that women-led companies are the highest performing in the nation" says Alicia Scott, Executive Director of LP2X.
