Law Firm 500 Calls for Nominations to Recognize the Fastest Growing Law Firms
Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 09, 2016 -- The Law Firm 500 today called for nominations to recognize the fastest growing law firms in the United States. The inaugural Law Firm 500 award program is an entirely new award that will celebrate high-velocity law firms – that is the 500 fastest growing firms by revenue. The award program is open for application to U.S. law firms of all sizes and winners are determined solely on the percentage of growth over a three-year period.
“This this award was clearly inspired by the Inc. magazine annual recognition of the fastest growing private companies in the country,” said RJon Robins, a legal industry veteran and proponent of the Law Firm 500. “It’s important because experience suggests there are thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of fast growing law firms that largely go unrecognized under existing law firm award programs.”
In contrast to the prevailing headlines, that often suggest the legal profession is dwindling or on a decline, organizers contend the function of a lawyer, whether improving the life of a consumer or reducing risk for business, has never been more important. Further, growth in law firm revenue is a byproduct of helping clients solve legal problems. As such the velocity of that growth is an under-recognized, but equally important measure of innovation, creativity and rapid adaptation to changing market conditions.
The program has attracted a long list of venerable sponsors already familiar to the legal industry. Currently sponsors of the Law Firm 500 include Thomson Reuters, The Rainmaker Institute, Ruby Receptionist, and LawPay, among other notable businesses with roots in the legal vertical.
The application process is simple and the deadline is August 1, 2016. Applicants must meet the following four qualifications:
1. Have generated revenue by March 31, 2012;
2. Have generated at least $50,000 in revenue in 2012;
3. Have generated at least $500,000 in revenue in 2015; and
4. Be an independent for profit law firm based in the U.S. (not a legal department of division of another firm).
Winners will be announced on September 1, 2016 and recognized during an educational conference and gala being held in Miami, FL from October 13-15, 2016.
