SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 31, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- OPSWAT, a leader in critical infrastructure protection, today announced that is has completed its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 compliance audit, which was conducted under the supervision of Schellman & Company, LLC., an independent CPA firm that specializes in SOC examinations. "Our more than 1,500 critical infrastructure and Fortune 5000 customers can rest even easier tonight knowing that an independent third-party has verified that our technology, processes and procedures are amongst the world's most secure," said Taeil Goh, CTO at OPSWAT. "Since day one we have lived by the philosophy of trust no file, trust no device. It is in the spirit of this security-first mindset that we recognized the importance of achieving SOC 2 compliance, and we're proud to have completed this goal for ourselves and our customers."
Organizations around the world are increasingly requiring their vendors to adhere to the highest privacy and data security standards available. By engaging an independent CPA to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of its controls that address operations and compliance, as well as financial reporting, OPSWAT was able to validate its preparedness to respond and meet the needs of customers.
