Health IT experts will share recent successes in clinical documentation improvement and authorization automation

Ms. Skorepa and Mr. Cawood will present the session, "Fostering Payer-Provider Collaboration to Reduce Administrative Burden," on Tuesday, June 13, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. ET. These experts from University Hospitals and MCG, respectively, will provide a before-and-after analysis of leveraging MCG Indicia for Collaborative Care to streamline the clinical authorization processes with payers. The speakers will detail the challenges University Hospital faced prior to launching the solution, important aspects of the implementation process, and the subsequent results of using the solution - including time-savings and hospital productivity metrics.

Since the release of a Proposed Rule by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) in December 2022, providers and payers have been exploring new technologies to streamline the clinical authorization workflow.
