The new partnership will expand and facilitate access to Dr. Elam’s important work in underserved areas and will solidify her best practice, strategic solutions designed to enhance culturally competent leadership addressing issues around diversity and equity in teaching and learning. This expansion of Dr. Elam’s work will be done utilizing a free Learning Plan authored by Dr. Elam which will be immediately available to magnet schools that subscribe to the Teaching Channel Plus platform (http://www.teachingchannel.com) and later released for free to the general public in July. The Learning Plan is created utilizing the Teaching Channel’s Theory of Professional Learning which incorporates the key components; gather and focus, watch, read and analyze, translate and adapt, practice and gather evidence, analyze and see feedback. Teaching Channel also provides an online interactive video platform to further solidify learning.
