Founder and CEO of LED Lighting Inc., William (Bill) Hood Visits Foundations College Prep's Newly Opened Charter School

(http://www.ledlightinginc.com), recently visited Foundations College Prep’s first newly opened charter school to discuss plans for continued support and growth. The public 6-12 school is located at 1233 W 109th Pl., serving about 160 students of Chicago’s Roseland community. The 2014-2015 school year serves grades 6-7.
Foundations College Prep utilizes a blended model teaching style, incorporating station rotation and flipped classrooms. Students have access to adaptive digital content and are able to participate in diversified classroom rotations, mimicking a collegiate experience.
Hood brings his business experience learned in the lighting industry to Foundations College Prep’s advisory board discussing a variety of topics including: academic excellence, governance, resource development, finances, staff reports and budget plans.
Hood enjoys helping the local communities and is excited to be involved in this new journey with Foundations College Prep. After his first board meeting, he stated, "I am thrilled to become a part of this organization that is transforming the system of education for disadvantaged youth. I believe that education is the engine that drives civilization and it is an honor to support FCP."
