Legal Netlink Alliance Holds 2014 Winter General Meeting
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) April 03, 2014 -- Legal Netlink Alliance Europe recently held its Winter General Meeting over two days at The Caleta Hotel in Gibraltar. The event was hosted by long-time member firm Triay & Triay.
On Friday evening, members and their guests attended a welcome reception followed by dinner at Le Bateau, a beautiful French bistro located on the water near the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula.
The general session on Saturday included three very interesting and informative presentations. James Tipping, Director of the Finance Centre Department of the Ministry of Financial Services, lead a session called, “Gibraltar – The Overview.” Marcus Killick, CEO of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission provided an insightful talk titled, “Financial Services and How Gibraltar Has Sought to Protect Its Reputation.” Both presentations were followed by energetic question and answer sessions.
Austrian member Dr. Christofer Straberger provided an update on European Law Developments. All three sessions were very well received by attendees.
The meeting concluded on Saturday evening with a gala dinner at Mons Calpe Suite, an exquisite restaurant located at the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. Not only was the food excellent, but having dinner 412 meters above two continents, two bodies of water, and three countries was something special for all attendees. Kyle Citrynell, a member of LNA USA’s Executive Committee, said the evening was one she will certainly remember forever. “Having dinner at the top of the Rock is a once in a lifetime experience,” said Citrynell. “And being able to share the event with long-time friends and colleagues made it extra special.”
Legal Netlink’s next major event is the Spring Meeting being held in Chicago, Illinois on May 16th.
