Location: Joliet, Ill.

The Joliet backpack giveaway will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m at the Spanish Community Center – A United Way Agency – located at 309 N. Eastern Avenue. (*Main entrance is located off Franklin Street). At the event, a total of 500 FREE backpacks stuffed with school supplies will be given away as well as free snow cones and popcorn, photo booths, DJ, inflatables, and more. On top of that there will be information booths set-up for the local library, police department, and fire department.

Date: August 11, 2019
Location: Elgin, Ill.

The Elgin backpack giveaway will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) at The Centre of Elgin located at 100 Symphony Way. 500 FREE backpacks stuffed with school supplies will be given away! There will also be FREE snow cones and popcorn, carnival games, photo booths, DJ, a visit from the Elgin Fire Department, and more.

Location: Waukegan, Ill.

The Waukegan backpack giveaway will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m at Carman-Buckner Elementary School located at 520 Helmholz Avenue. Families are invited to attend this back to school event where 500 FREE backpacks will be handed out, in addition to free kids books provided by the local library. Other highlights include FREE popcorn and snow cones, photo booths, inflatables, DJ, and informational opportunities to learn more about the local police and fire departments.
