Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys announced that its Nashville law office will be handing out 1,500 frozen turkeys, plus a drawstring bag stuffed with side fixings at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee - Cleveland Park Clubhouse on November 18, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Other highlights include festive cookies, musical vibes, bottled water, and fun! Turkeys will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis and only one per family.

According to a 2018 survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of a Thanksgiving Day dinner for 10 with classic food items equated to $48.90. That cost took into account having enough food for leftovers. Classic dinner food items included turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and coffee and milk.

By adding a 4-pound bone-in ham, 5 pounds of Russet potatoes, and 1-pound of frozen green beans to a classic Thanksgiving Day dinner, the overall cost for 10 increased to just under $62.00.

Attorney Kevin Rowe shares the following reasons for why the law firm gives back:

“Thanksgiving is pretty much the official kick-off of the hectic and potentially costly holiday season that ends right after New Year’s Eve. As such, our team wants to help offset expenses by providing a few items of a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including a frozen turkey, box of stuffing, canned corn, and canned green beans. By doing so we want to give struggling families the opportunity to use saved funds for other things and enjoy a meal and leftovers that they may have missed out on otherwise.”
