"We are grateful for the opportunity to once again offer Phoenix families and individuals dealing with financial difficulties a turkey and side fixings to help offset Thanksgiving meal costs." - Kevin Rowe, ESQ.

Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys announced that its Phoenix law office will be handing out 1,500 frozen turkeys, plus drawstring bags stuffed with side fixings, at the New Life English Ministry church (7510 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051) on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. Other highlights include festive cookies, musical vibes, bottled water, and fun! Turkeys will be given away on a first come, first served basis and only one per family.

According to a 2018 survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of a Thanksgiving Day dinner for 10 with classic food items equated to $48.90. Further, the overall costs slightly increased as the number of guests decreased.

Classic dinner food items included turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and coffee and milk.

For those who wanted to cater to guests not fond of turkey and who prefer more organic sides, the average cost to add a 4-pound bone-in ham, 5 pounds of Russet potatoes, and 1 pound of frozen green beans to a classic Thanksgiving Day dinner for 10 would increase to just under $62.00.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to once again offer Phoenix families and individuals dealing with financial difficulties a turkey and side fixings to help offset Thanksgiving meal costs. Our team is also thankful to New Life English Ministry for hosting our annual turkey giveaway. Events like this are an exemplary example of how we can positively impact members of our community through acts of goodwill and fellowship,” said Kevin Rowe, ESQ.
