LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys hosts a community fall festival on Sunday, November 24 at Molasky Family Park (1065 E. Twain Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89169) from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. to give away 1,500 frozen turkeys, plus drawstring bags stuffed with side fixings. Turkeys and side fixings will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis and only one per family.
Other highlights include live music, face painting, clowns, barbequed hot hogs, cotton candy, and participation by community partners including the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), Clark County School District Police Department (CCSCPD), Balm of Gilead Global Ministries, Lone Mountain Church, Anthem Blue Cross, Nevada Child Seekers, and Hope Christian Health Center.
According to a 2018 survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of a Thanksgiving Day dinner for 10 with classic food items equated to $48.90. That cost took into account having enough food for leftovers. Classic dinner food items included turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls with butter, peas, cranberries, a veggie tray, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and coffee and milk.
By adding a 4-pound bone-in ham, 5 pounds of Russet potatoes, and 1-pound of frozen green beans to a classic Thanksgiving Day dinner, the overall cost for 10 increased to just under $62.00.
