The 2021 Toyota Sienna offers a different experience than what is available with the 2020 model. Learn more about this innovative platform before you visit the Lexington Toyota showroom.

The Toyota Sienna has been one of the most popular minivans since it first appeared at dealerships like Lexington Toyota so many years ago. Over time, it has evolved to be the gold standard family vehicle that also offers a lot of capability and flexibility. For the new model year, the manufacturer took a calculated but well-informed risk and completely redesigned the 2021 Toyota Sienna to feature a standard hybrid powertrain. Additionally, designers have put the new Sienna on a diet further separating it from its 2020 version. The 2021 Toyota Sienna has arrived at the Lexington Toyota showroom with all of its previously mentioned changes and much more.

At the most basic level, a minivan needs to have a comfortable and adaptable interior in order to be as successful as the Toyota Sienna has been. Toyota has trimmed the physical dimensions of the 2021 Sienna to help it be more efficient. A lot of automakers have tried to do this and failed because they compromised too much. Toyota is in a position to succeed with the redesign of the 2021 Sienna because there will still be up to 101 cubic-feet of maximum cargo volume available, although this is slightly less than what was available in the 2020 model.

Additionally, legroom dimensions of the 2021 Sienna are nearly identical to those of the 2020 Sienna. In fact, the 2021 version of the Toyota minivan offers more third-row legroom than the 2020 version.

In terms of performance, the 2021 Toyota Sienna might make less horsepower on paper, but the minivan’s towing capacity hasn’t changed. Under the hood of the 2021 version is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that is mated to the Toyota hybrid system. It will make 245 horsepower. While this is a bit less power than what was produced by the 2020 Sienna, both iterations of the minivan will be able to pull trailers weighing up to 3,500 pounds – the class standard.
